In our modern world with freedom of movement and satellite communications we have truly become a smaller world. Diseases, which may have been confined to small geographic areas can now be spread rapidly and quickly throughout the world. With the advent of aids Dentistry has moved out of the "Dark Ages" and into the world of modern infection control. It is important to us that we do not give you something that you did not have when you came to visit us; for this reason, we aggressively follow all infection control guidelines as outlined by the CDC. These procedures include:

Protective Coverings
Masks, Gloves and Safety Glasses
Bio Hazard Containers
Heat Sterilization

Autoclaves
Spore testing
Handpieces

Disinfectant Spray-Counter tops & Chairs which cannot be Heat Steralized.
Disposables-Everything from Needles to dispoable hanpieces for cleanings. Whatever can be new, sterile fresh and disposable.

All of these procedures are time consuming and expensive. Rather then raise the cost of all our procedures we have found it necessary to charge a room set up charge. This is of benefit for patients wanting long, well planned dental appointments, instead of breaking treatment down into numerous appointments, requiring that a room be disinfected numerous times for multiple visits.
