Leanne Greene, Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stuart A. Greene, has received the first NCAA Division 1 Scholarship in the 4 year history of the Tem-Cat Soccer Program. Leanne received offers from Southeastern Louisiana University and Northwestern Louisiana Universities both NCAA division 1 Schools on National Signing day February 5. After careful consideration she has decided to sign with Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) in Hammond Louisiana. Leanne who plays defense for the Tem-Cats and has been a starter all 4 years and is a captain on this years team. She has been actively pursued by many soccer programs throughout the country. Leanne said "It was a tough decision, they both have great soccer programs but I thought I would be happiest and fulfill my academic needs best at SLU". SLU is a school of 15,000 and is currently the fastest growing University in the United States. The Soccer Program is currently entering its 3rd season and will be entering the Southland Conference this Fall.
Leanne is the 1997 MVP Defense District 13-5A and was named to the All Region team.
She is the first Temple player to make the All District team all 4 years.
